June 14, (Fri.) 2019. HAMILTON: THE EXHIBITION ON DISPLAY ON NORTHERLY ISLAND, CHICAGO Alexander Hamilton’s remarkable story has inspired millions of Americans. Now, you can see it through his eyes in this 360-degree immersive exhibition inspired -by the revolutionary musical. Featuring an audio tour narrated by the musical’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton: The Exhibition is designed to take visitors deeper into the life and times of Alexander Hamilton, while at the same time chronicling the American Revolution and the creation of the United States of America. Cost is just $85 per person. Hamilton: The Exhibition poses new questions about Hamilton’s life and the founding of America, ultimately leaving us to ask the question — how can we leave our own legacies for future Americans? We departure by 8:00 am, tour the exhibit at 11:00 am, with time in the area to have a bite to eat. Thursday, August 15, 2019. Chicago’s Fabulous Fountains. The award-winning journalist, editor, Chicago historian, and author Greg Borzo will be our tour guide as we visit and drive by more than a dozen of Chicago’s most interesting and beautiful fountains! We depart the Highcrest Centre parking lot at 7:30 am and return back to Rockford at about 5:30 pm. Cost is $98 per person; this includes your tour, luncheon, and transportation.
Wed – July 10, 2019. – Wrigley Field Tour & Luncheon – An insider’s look at over 104 years of history in this legendary ballpark. Depart the Highcrest Centre parking lot at 9:00 am. Lunch before our 1:00 pm guided tour which includes the bleachers, press box, visitors’ clubhouse, Cubs dugout, and field… all while covering Wrigley Field’s unique 104-year history. Fri. Aug 2, 2019. – Visit to the Chicago Art Institute for the Manet and Modern Beauty Exhibit. This is the first Chicago exhibition of Edouard Manet’s work in more than 50 years – and the first to concentrate on the artist’s late career in the 1870s and early 1880s – showcasing Manet’s evolution as an artist who drew inspiration from the fleeting whims of contemporary fashion to capture the distinctly modern and highly artificial beauty of his time. Through over 70 paintings, pastels, and works on paper, Manet and Modern Beauty illustrates the late flowering of Manet’s talent as he put his work, ever responsive to the moment, under the sign of contemporary femininity.
We depart the Highcrest Centre parking lot at 8:30 am – we enter the exhibit at 11:00 pm. Enjoy the museum – there are several cafes and restaurants for lunch. We leave at 3:30 pm and arrive back in Rockford at about 6:00 pm. Cost is $85 per person; includes your admission and transportation.
Thurs – Oct. 17, 2019. A trip to Galena for Lunch and Shopping. Stroll along Galena’s main street and shop one of many eclectic boutique shops, art galleries or antique stores. The restaurant we will have lunch at is Fried Green Tomatoes; they open especially for us and include a really wonderful menu … Fried Green Tomatoes Appetizer, House Salad, Chicken Parmesan and French Silk Ice Cream for dessert. You will have your choice of having lunch as a group or if you’d rather be on your own for lunch you can do that also. We’ll depart the Highcrest Centre parking lot at 9:00 am and arrive in Galena at about 11:00 am. We will leave Galena at 3:00 pm and be back in Rockford at about 5:00 pm. Cost of lunch and transportation is $75 per person or if you would like to ride in and have lunch on your own that will cost $45 per person for your transportation.
Tues. Oct. 29, 2019 – “Medium at the Mansion” and Luncheon – Jacob Henry Mansion Estate, Joliet, IL. We begin our visit with a self-guided tour of the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate. The Mansion boasts being a Historical City, State and National Landmark of 40 rooms with a delightful blend of past and present. This award-winning Mansion, built in 1873, is known for its original beauty and old Victorian charm. A delicious luncheon featuring Jake’s Cordon Bleu will be prepared on site and served before our “Group Reading” by Psychic Medium Michael Gourley, one of the “Top 10 Chicago Psychics.” Michael will explain how he uses his gifts to deliver messages from loved ones in spirit and will deliver any messages that come through for us – there may even be a message for you! We’ll end our day with a stroll through the Old Central Church with its completely remodeled chapel, painstakingly kept in much of its original condition, from the hand-carved stained pillars to the massive domed ceiling.

Tues. – Dec. 8, 2020. – Christmas Luncheon and Wurlitzer Concert at the Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington, Illinois. Get in the Holiday spirit as we begin with an elegant sit-down lunch in the Carousel Pavilion with a live Wurlitzer Theater Organ Concert in the very private Sanfilippo residence’s 300 seat theater, time to explore the collection of automatic music machines, including the special1890 Eden Palais Carousel and the new perfume collection.
